Julia's in Wallingford

Image of Julia's Restaurant from juliasrestaurantseattle.com

I am delighted to announce that 13 of my photographs are on display and available for purchase, at Julia's at Wallingford, beginning Saturday evening, September 29, 2012, for the month of October, and possibly longer. Please stop by and sign my Comments book. I would love to hear from you!

Julia's is a comfortable, casual, family restaurant located at 4401 Wallingford Ave. N., Seattle, WA 98103. You can contact them at: (206) 633-1175. In case you are hungry, their menu may be viewed at: http://juliasrestaurantseattle.com.

Here is a sample of a few of the images that are on display- signed, matted, and wood-framed. Framed size is 11 x 14, and all are reasonably priced:

Blue Door
Door of a crypt from a cemetery in California.
I love the character given by rust and weathering.

Cacti with Window
A pensive, dreamy kind of mood here. A lot of people seem
drawn to this image, the quality of light and shadow.

Lifeblood
Close-up shot of a carnivorous plant,
in the University of Washington's Botany Greenhouse.
Note the delicate cilia, bloodred veins, and droplet of water.

Hope you can make it!

Blessings,
Linda

Gift to Friends of the Conservatory

Volunteer Park Conservatory at night

I was delighted to offer the Friends of the Volunteer Park Conservatory, in Seattle, use of my photograph for promotional purposes. I visit the conservatory several times a year to see the seasonal changes and offerings. It is a great pick-me-up, especially if the weather is gloomy.

I shot this picture about half an hour after sunset, with a Canon Rebel T3i, 18-135mm lens, on a tripod. The flowers were lit by the passing headlights of a car.
